The design for the garden was inspired by the owner’s love of color and the modern Asian aesthetic of the residence. Architectural plantings of Virginia sweetspire and Shenandoah switchgrass echo the geometry of the house in the front yard. The backyard was envisioned as a painting. The garden will be enjoyed from the elevated view of the residence, as well as experienced from within and around the garden. Circles are punctuated with fringetrees and planted with mondo grass. Pops of color flower at different times of year.
