The American sycamore is the grand tree of floodplains throughout the Southeast, including the Little Sugar Creek. Exfoliated bark and leaves from sycamore trees can been seen floating down creeks. The inspiration for Sycamore came from this natural process. Three concrete textured seats in puzzle pieces stylized from sycamore bark offer a seating area along the XCLT Trail. Project in collaboration with Shaun Cassidy and sponsored by the Arts & Science Council and the City of Charlotte.
