Dream Maker is a sculptural concept that includes two moving pieces inspired by the flight of birds. Paying homage to the City of Gastonia that was once known as the “Spindle Capital of the World”, metal threads from spindles unwind, get tangled in branches, and symbolize the city’s deep connections with the past. Drifts of cloud-like plants paint a dreamscape for the imagination within the plaza. Dream Maker was a Keep Gastonia Beautiful Finalist with collaborator Shaun Cassidy.
